San Gabriel Mission Church
About the Company:
The San Gabriel Mission, also known as Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, was founded in 1771 and is located in San Gabriel, Ca. It is is a fully functioning Roman Catholic Mission and a historic landmark.
The San Gabriel Mission Church approached Ready Artwork in hopes of establishing their presence across the Internet and social media. Initially, the San Gabriel Mission Church had multiple Facebook pages created by many different individuals, the client needed us to consolidate the varying information under Ready Artwork’s management. As the oldest historical landmark in San Gabriel, the church also needed help to spread awareness of its history to the rest of the community. In addition to these challenges, one of the main purposes for their online presence was to promote their biggest attraction; the annual Fiesta. This event celebrates the anniversary of 10 families walking from San Gabriel Mission to Olvera Street and starting the city of Los Angeles. The client hoped to attract sponsors, vendors and visitors to bring together for this joyous event that gathers around 65,000 to 80,000 people attending each year to enjoy the food, carnival rides, and live performances.
Ready Artwork’s Solution:
Ready Artwork’s first step in addressing these challenges was to claim all existing pages, people, and places previously created for the San Gabriel Mission. By collecting everything into one account, Ready Artwork was able to ensure consistent information and messages were given out to San Gabriel Mission’s followers. This resulted in increased check-ins, reach, viral statistics and more.
In order to help grow the online presence of our client, our marketers performed research and brainstorming to come up with new ideas to promote the Mission and Fiesta. Some of the new ideas included our weekly Photo Feature; which helped achieve our highest reach ever on a post for this account; 2,465 totaly reach. Along with that, in order to promote the annual Fiesta we created a Facebook event and recommended Facebook Advertisements to help attract visitors and sponsors for this great event. Through our consistent activity and maintenance of the Facebook account; we’ve been able to reach our current following of 1,390 fans!
In addition to Facebook we also helped to spread the Mission’s history and message through Twitter, Yelp, Foursquare, Google Places and Youtube. For their Twitter account, we interacted with members of the San Gabriel community to increase their fan base, updated fans about upcoming events and important announcements, and came up with creative new posts to keep users engaged. Since Ready Artwork started managing their Twitter account, we’ve been able to reach its current following of 681 followers.
As for Yelp, Foursquare, Google Places, and Youtube, we manage their overall activity such as reviewing the amount of check-ins they have regularly and responding to any messages or comments from people.
