History:

Magforce is an internationally successful company that specializes in military-grade gear like backpacks. They came to Ready Artwork to fine-tune a strategy on how to break into the US market. So our team helped capture their branding and lifestyle through a newly designed website, video loop, and photography.

Challenge:

The biggest challenge for this photoshoot was coordinating and planning. Our team scouted multiple locations ahead of time that could show off the products’ features. For example, an ocean or water scene was necessary in order to highlight that the backpack was waterproof. In addition, there were 50-60 different products that our team needed to shoot so careful organization and planning were required.

Insight/Research:

Our immediate approach was to establish a brand image. We had to pick out our demographic, first step was creating the ideal customer that would purchase Magforce products. In order to get a model that would be in with the Magforce brand, we went through three rounds of the talent search.

Our team coordinated and communicated closely with the client and their team to get a shootlist, focusing on capturing the intricate details and features of the products. In addition, our team felt that a video loop would benefit the home page even more by showcasing the process in real time.

Solution/Results:

On the various locations, our team worked hard to take high-quality photos of the products. There were three locations in total: city, beach and hiking trail. Each of these locations would highlight different aspects of the brand. In the city, our team photographed the models on motorcycles with the bags to create a rugged yet practical look. At the beach, our photographers focus on the waterproof material of the products. Lastly, our team went to the hiking trail to demonstrate the durability of the materials in an outdoor setting. In total, our team shot around 2,500 shots and the client picked around 40 shots to be featured.

Both the photos and the video loop were included on the website to highlight the products and add depth to the brand. The products truly come to life through these photos. From visiting the website, a customer can clearly see the lifestyle that is Magforce.
